Every student in the class will write an Analysis Paper.

The following is an outline of the topics which need to be addressed.

Introduction Paragraph: Catch your readers attention and tell them what you are going to tell them.

Planning:

  1. Initial ideas for your catapult

Construction:

  1. Describe the process you used to construct your catapult
  2. How the work was shared among group members
  3. How you used your class time
  4. How you worked outside of class

Prediction:

  1. What was your prediction before you began construction
  2. How did you come up with your prediction
  3. How did your prediction change as you worked on the catapult

Testing:

  1. How did you test your catapult
  2. How much testing did you do
  3. Did you make any changes after testing your catapult
  4. Why did you make those changes

Launch/Graph:

  1. What measurements did you take
  2. What formulas did you use and how they were used
  3. What are your calculations (Work)
  4. What does the path of your projectile look like (Graph)

Analysis:

  1. If you were to do this project again, what would you do differently
  2. Should this project be done again

Connections:

  1. Where can the lessons learned in this project apply to your life or the world around you

Conclusion Paragraph: Tell your reader again what you just told them.
