    This website gives you short paragraphs to read, followed by multiple choice answers, that allow you to identify the main idea of the paragraph.  It will keep score for you by telling you if you answered correctly or not. It's great practice for this reading skill!

  • Grimm's Fairy Tales

    This site gives you access to information about the Brothers Grimm, the collectors of all the fairy tales we love.  It also has some fun options to choose your fairy tale, and you can even listen to some of the stories being read aloud.  This is definitely a good site to explore when we learn about fairy tales in class.

  • Scholastic Book Clubs

    Every time you order a book through Scholastic Online, our class gets a free book!  Books are delivered to the school in about a week and a half, and there are always at least a few books for $1.  In addition to the free book, our class earns bonus points, which can be used to buy books as well.  I often give these points to students as rewards and allow them to choose a book for themselves.  I encourage you to take a look--there's a new monthly catalog for each club.  ARROW is geared towards reading levels 4th -6th grade, while the TAB and TRC are higher reading levels.
