Grading in my courses consists of three parts; Attendance/Participation, Homework (Daily work), Tests/Quizzes. Click on the courses listed to the left to see the full details.
Notebook checks are done four times during the course. An item is randomly selected; students are given 30 seconds to locate the item. 10 points are awarded for finding the item. Three ring binders are highly recommended.
Calculators
Calculators are allowed in all of my math classes. A graphing calculator will be useful in Algebra, Geometry and Algebra II. Graphing calculators are a VERY valuable tool in Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus and are a required tool for Calculus and Advanced Placement Calculus
School Calculators: We have graphing calculators available in most math classrooms. They are for use only in the classroom.
Each student is given a copy of the syllabus. This is a document they need to keep in their notebook.
Student grades will be posted here. A student password is required. Student names will not appear on the progress report. You will find an ID number in the top left hand corner. Check with your student to verify this number.
