The Technology
There are ~130 students using these computers every day, five days a week, for 36 weeks.  The wires are all exposed, nothing is really blocked from student access.  To keep them working properly so you will have them to use, every day, you must cooperate and follow these guidelines.

  1. Treat computers gently.
  2. Do not change settings (desktop, screensaver, icons, mouse stuff, monitor settings...).
  3. Do not go into control panels without permission (this includes monitor settings).
  4. If you "fiddle" w/ your hands, remember to mess w/ a pencil or something, not the cords/wires/mice/....
  5. If you see someone forgetting these things, remind them politely.  If they continue, please let me know.

I know that many of you know how to adjust settings that control how the computer looks.  Desktops, screensavers, colors, cursors, .....
DO NOT DO THAT HERE.  Go home and do all that stuff as much as your parents will let you.  Don't even show someone how to do it on my computers.  I don't care what other teachers let you do.  For me to use these computers effectively with students they have to be set up my way and left that way.
If you accidently change a setting, tell me, we'll fix it, and its ok.  Don't tell me and we will have a problem.

Other Students

  1. Help each other.
  2. Be friendly.
  3. No put-downs, kidding or not.

Mr. A

  1. Listen.
  2. Cooperate.
  3. Ask three , then me.

Science

  1.     Is really amazing stuff.

                                        Really.
